If you have savings and want to invest there are many fantastic options right now. It is a time of enormous opportunity. However if you have to borrow Money then the rules for lending are changing every day. The world has entered a new phase and the only certainty is uncertainty. Even the Swiss banks who were seen as the most secure in the past are now finding it difficult. Many rules for lending are being overlooked, but not anymore. These are now being enforced making it much harder for everyone to lend for property, business or shares.

So what is a good investment in these times?

Regardless of the economic climate cash will be spent on essential items and businesses that sell these items will do well. We will continue spending on toilet paper and soap and shampoo etc. So it may be an idea to invest in companies that sell these kind of items. Health and education will also be areas where cash will continue to be spent. Some companies will spend lots of cash on training staff rather than firing and rehiring.

Our financial system was based on Gold. However when this was removed the world monetary system was reduced to a promise that America could repay it's loans. That will now remain to be seen. This period will go down in history. How it goes down in history will be up to us and what we do with our Money. The decisions we make will greatly affect our Retirement Plan.
